"Work of the architect Antoni De Moragas, the ABaC Hotel and Restaurant is a fusion of two buildings surrounded by gardens. The refurbished period building is over a hundred years old and has been declared a listed Monument by Barcelona City Council in honour of its intrinsic historical interest. It opened its doors as ABaC Restaurant & Hotel in May 2008. Here you will find the most innovative design, the latest advances in technology and a team of young professionals at your service. One of the best features of this hotel is the restaurant, awarded 2 Michelin stars and nominated The Best Restaurant 2011 in Catalonia by the Catalan Academy of Gastronomy. Located in the newly constructed pavilion it is in direct contact with the garden - the interior and exterior are connected through large windows. It opened its doors in 2000 in a different location, but in May 2008 changed to its new address. The gastronomy is the fundamental axis of the project, which will be experienced in a calm, neutral and elegant atmosphere. The sense of sophistication is shaped by the small details and the materials used, as well as an interesting combination of lights. There is also an extensive cellar, offering near 1000 references, and from which you can select your perfect wine.
